Auburn set for slaughter; Ole Miss can score on Alabama
When in doubt, check with Vegas.
Is the star running back injured, or is your coach just exercising a bit gamesmanship and phoning him daily? Is the point protector poised for a big match, or did he have a little too much fun last night from home? Vegas does not always know, but the handicappers can oftentimes be a great guide to the reality.
Those trusty betting lines can teach us things if we’re paying attention. What can Vegas instruct us about Alabama?
Well, if you’ve been paying attention to college football, you then understand Alabama coach Nick Saban has played with his starting quarterback position close to the vest. Initially he wouldn’t name a starter, and today he’s splitting time between Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. Why? It’s not from the graciousness of heart.
Saban has two great quarterbacks, and he wants every edge over his enemies. Why enable Ole Miss to prepare just 1 quarterback this weekend when he can create the Land Sharks prepare two?
Is Tagovailoa and Hurts going to continue to divide time now that SEC drama has started? Vegas thinks it knows the answer, and the handicappers are in on Tua. Earlier this week, the Heisman stocks created Tagovailoa the obvious favorite for the award, decreasing his likelihood of winning it into 3-to-1.
He is currently the odds-on favorite to win it, which is a fairly good indication that Ole Miss is going to get a huge dose of this Tua Show on Saturday at Oxford. You know who proceeds to fail at putting on a display? Joe.
Joe went 4-4 against the spread last week after beginning the season 1-7. He cried, in different words, but Joe will have to perform a great deal better to catch the Guru. Take a look at last week!
